The Rights and Attribution Layer for AI
Reconnecting users with the trusted sources behind every AI answer.
Built for content owners, publishers, and platforms - an open protocol that lets you control access to your insights, while ensuring AI attribution and rewards for your content.
The Architectural Bottleneck in AI
AI is using the world’s information — but publishers are losing revenue, control, and trust. This leads to a broken marketplace: data is locked away, and AI’s progress is constrained. The problem is rooted into how AI systems work:
Centralized AI systems copy and blend data during training, erasing ownership and the terms under which the data was shared.
As outputs lose traceability - provenance, attribution, and usage metrics are lost, making participation undesirable for data owners.
There is an alternative: AI that uses your data without scraping and copying it, with traceability.
How It Works
Syft is an open, decentralised protocol that enables content owners and publishers to define enforceable terms and attribution when AI queries their data:
- Deploy with us Set up in a few clicks. Connect your platform (WordPress, Silverchair, etc.) and define your terms of use to be enforced.
- Controlled AI access AI systems query your data through Syft, which enforces your licensing, pricing, and attribution rules in real time.
- Measure usage and get royalties Every interaction is logged and attributed, while you earn royalties automatically.
- Empowering collectives Publishers can form collectives to pool content and strengthen their position through collective governance and bargaining.
Who Syft Is For
